Project overview
Architected and deployed a hands-on Microsoft 365 digital-workplace portfolio environment centered on SharePoint Online. The public case study demonstrates enterprise information architecture, modern-page design, collaboration governance, administrative automation, and reusable digital-workplace standards.
What I built
- Designed a SharePoint Online Communication Site with structured corporate areas for executive leadership, HR, IT, finance, procurement, communications, facilities, PMO, and safety/compliance.
- Created a multi-level information architecture and navigation model so staff can reach operational content consistently.
- Automated provisioning with PowerShell 7 and PnP.PowerShell, including site setup/reuse, theme application, modern pages, lists and libraries, navigation, sample records, homepage configuration, and post-deployment validation.
- Designed a Microsoft Teams operating model with standardized workspaces, ownership/lifecycle concepts, directory records, and archive/unarchive automation.
- Built reusable SharePoint modern-page standards, including a standard base-page template for consistent department pages.
- Developed supporting SPFx source/prototypes for deeper branded experiences while retaining a maintainable native-SharePoint baseline.
Governance and security approach
- Used interactive Microsoft Entra / PnP authentication rather than embedding passwords or MFA codes in scripts.
- Separated collaboration, structured records, and compliance-retention responsibilities across Teams, SharePoint, and Microsoft Purview concepts.
- Kept credentials, client secrets, certificates, tokens, and other sensitive values out of public portfolio artifacts.
- Used sanitized screenshots and clearly identified demonstration content rather than presenting sample values as real operational facts.
Result
The project demonstrates SharePoint architecture, PowerShell automation, governance, information management, user-experience design, and enterprise IT leadership in one coherent Microsoft 365 environment.
